I'm back with another photo diary, as I do when I visit a new place, of Rhodes. 

At the beginning of August I was lucky enough to spend an entire week in this dreamy island with my friends and boyfriend. 

The island of Rhodes is absolutely massive: from Faliraki (at the top of the island) it took us 3 hours by bus to get to Prasonissi (which is at the south end of the island, where the Mediterranean and the Aegean seas meet). In fact, Rhodes is the largest of the Dodecanese islands. 

Most of you may have heard of Rhodes because historically it was known for its Colossus (one of the seven wonders of the ancient World) but today it has lots of tourists for the amazing bays and for the medieval Old Town of the city of Rhodes, which is part of the World Heritage. 

I highly suggest you to visit it if you like seaside holidays to relax and to escape from the everyday routine in your city. 

I've never seen a clearer and more beautiful water, the bays are absolutely breathtaking. 

Also, it is not expensive at all: it costs less than islands like Santorini and Mykonos but in my opinion is no less than other popular greek islands. 

Hope you like the pics that I took and that they give you an idea of how wonderful Rhodes is.

Sono tornata con un altro foto diario, come sono abituata a fare ogni volta che visito un posto nuovo, stavolta di Rodi. 

All'inizio di Agosto sono stata così fortunata da passare un'intera settimana in quest'isola da sogno con i miei amici ed il mio ragazzo. 

L'isola di Rodi è enorme: Ci sono volute 3 ore di bus per arrivare a Prasonissi (che sta nella punta Sud dell'isola dove si incontrano il mare Mediterraneo ed il mare Egeo) da Faliraki che si trova praticamente a Nord dell'isola.  In effetti, Rodi è l'isola più grande tra le isole del Dodecaneso.

Molti di voi potrebbero conoscere Rodi perchè nella storia era conosciuta per il suo Colosso (una delle sette meraviglie del mondo antico) ma oggi conta molti turisti per le fantastiche baie e per la Città Medievale di Rodi che fa parte del patrimonio dell'umanità. 

Ve la consiglio vivamente se siete tipi a cui piacciono le vacanze a base di mare per rilassarvi e per fuggire dalla routine giornaliera nelle vostre città. 

Non ho mai visto un'acqua più pulita e bella di questa, tutte le baie sono da togliere il fiato. 

Inoltre, non è costosa per niente: costa meno di isole come Santorini o Mykonos ma non ha nulla da invidiare ad altre isole greche popolari come queste, secondo me. 

Spero che le foto che ho fatto vi piacciano e che vi diano un'idea di quanto è bella Rodi.
